About Dreams for Schools

Dreams for Schools (DFS) is a 501(c)(3) that cultivates critical thinking, creativity, and technical skills in youth through inclusive STEAM education, preparing them to navigate and shape the digital future. Through project-based learning, DFS excites and informs students about STEAM and teaches the creative and technical process in technology and engineering.

About the role

As an education assistant, you will interact with K-8 students in a fun and educational setting, teaching them about technology or engineering. Training is provided. This experience is a valuable addition to your resume that employers and scholarship organizations will appreciate.

Pay and eligibility

• Starting pay: $16.90 per hour.

• Applicable for high school students ages 16 to 19.

Location

In person at different Orange County, California school sites where DFS serves students and works with partners.

Class and teaching times

School schedules vary, but classes generally range from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on different days. DFS will do its best to match your availability with available classes if you are accepted.

Requirements after accepting a job offer

• Must pass a DOJ background check.

• Must submit a TB test or risk assessment.
